Santal Exotique fragrance oil is a colorful woody fragrance complimented with exotic fruity aromas that takes you on a journey to the most remote islands of the Pacific. The fragrance opens with a bold fruity ensemble of pineapple, apricot, coconut and anise. It then immerses into an intricate floral chorus of violet leaves, white lily, honeysuckle and carnation before resting on a delicate base of sandalwood, precious resins and musks.

Santal Exotique Fragrance Oil is a modern woody-fruity composition structured around diffusive musks, creamy sandalwood materials, and tropical floral esters. The fragrance balances bright exotic fruits with a polished woody-musky backbone, allowing the composition to remain sophisticated rather than overly sweet. Violet ionones and floral salicylates soften the tropical accord and create a smooth, velvety transition into the creamy sandalwood base. Discoloration Potential: Moderate
Although Santal Exotique fragrance oil is anchored by some stable ingredients, the presence of vanillin-type phenols, aldehydes, coumarin, and terpenes creates a clear path toward visual darkening.
- Gradual darkening from yellow to amber/brown can occur, especially if stored in warm, exposed, or oxygen-rich environments.
- Best suited for deep-colored or natural-toned products like earthy candles, sandalwood soaps, or brown wax melts.
- Store tightly closed, in opaque containers, and below 30°C to slow discoloration and preserve the scent’s golden hue.
Application Compatibility
This fragrance is oil-soluble and designed for use in oil-based and alcohol-based formulations. It does not mix directly with water-based systems without the use of an appropriate solubilizer.

Wonderful woody and spicy fragrance (I smell more spice than exotic fruits and flowers, but they are there but with a very light presence). CP soapmaking: Slight acceleration, but allows for fast swirls. There was no separation or discoloration. No ricing.

Very perfume-like scent. In cold process soap didn’t accelerate. Maybe a bit of light brown discoloration. Scent retention very good. So good that 6% of this of oil weight is too much, which is not typical for CP soap. After 6 weeks of curing, the scent turns a bit more masculine. A very much liked scent among people who tried it.
