Glühwein Fragrance Oil
Glühwein Fragrance Oil is a festive blend inspired by the traditional mulled wine. It opens with zesty orange, dry red wine, and a splash of rum, followed by heart-warming accord of of clove, cinnamon, and caramel. The base is smooth and comforting with tonka, vanilla, and golden honey. Rich, cozy, and unmistakably seasonal, this spiced wine fragrance is a perfect addition to any Christmas themed product line.

Please note
This is not a perfume. It is a highly concentrated fragrance oil designed for crafting end products such as candles, diffusers, perfumes, soaps, and other personal care items. Do not apply directly to the skin. All our fragrance oils are measured in grams, not milliliters. Bottle fill levels may vary due to differences in oil density, which affects volume.
Recommended usage guidelines
- Candles: 7%-12%
- Reed diffusers: 15%-25%
- Personal perfumes: 10%-15%
- Soaps: 1%-3%
These percentages are indicative. For specific usage limits, please refer to the Glühwein Fragrance Oil IFRA file included in the “Related Documents” tab.
*Discoloration Potential: Heavy
Glühwein Fragrance Oil contains multiple high-risk discoloring components including cinnamaldehyde, eugenol, vanillin, coumarin, cinnamyl alcohol, and orange oil. These ingredients are well-known for contributing to strong ambering or browning, particularly in warm or light-exposed environments. The combined presence of phenolic materials, aldehydes, and sweet oxidation-prone compounds significantly increases discoloration risk.
- Discoloration toward amber or deep brown is highly likely with time.
- Ideal for festive, spicy, or warm-toned product lines where such changes align with the scent story.
- Avoid in clear, white, or pastel applications where color fidelity is essential.
- Store away from heat and sunlight, in airtight containers, to reduce oxidation rate.
Important considerations
We strongly recommend conducting your own tests, as performance may vary depending on the materials used and manufacturing conditions. Fragrance oils may not smell the same in their raw form as they do in a finished product. The recommended ratios serve as a general guide and should never replace your own testing. Ensuring compatibility and safe usage of your final product is your sole responsibility.
Prior to incorporating our fragrances in your products always test a small batch to ensure compatibility with the other ingredients in your formulation. We strongly recommend purchasing a test bottle (10g) prior to committing to a larger volume. We cannot take responsibility for large orders made without prior testing.
Scent Perception Disclaimer
While we do our best to accurately describe each fragrance, please note that scent perceptions are subjective and can differ. We cannot be held responsible for any misconceptions regarding the scent description. Always ensure you’re satisfied with the fragrance in a smaller test order before committing to larger volumes.
