Balsam Wood fragrance oil is a warm and sensual woody fragrance that wraps the senses in a soft woolen blanket. The deep majestic woody sensation of sandalwood meets the thick, vanillic -with a slight leathery undertone- nature of peru balsam. A marriage so harmonious, so immerseful, that is only complimented with a touch of cocoa and tonka bean at the base and a hint of star anise on the top for a delicate spice twist.

Please note

This is not a perfume. It is a highly concentrated fragrance oil designed for crafting end products such as candles, diffusers, perfumes, soaps, and other personal care items. Do not apply directly to the skin. All our fragrance oils are measured in grams, not milliliters. Bottle fill levels may vary due to differences in oil density, which affects volume.

Recommended usage guidelines

• Candles: 7%-12%
• Reed diffusers: 15%-25%
• Personal perfumes: 10%-15%
• Soaps: 1%-3%

*Discoloration Potential: Light

While there are several oxidation-prone components in Balsam Wood fragrance oil, they are mostly at low percentages and are balanced by a very stable solvent base.

•  Slow deepening of color over time is likely, from colorless/slightly yellow to warm amber, especially in light or heat-exposed storage.
•  Great for woody-themed candles, soaps, or diffusers, particularly in neutral or warm-toned designs.
•  Best stored sealed, in the dark, and below 30 °C to slow oxidation and preserve the fresh, woody clarity.

Important considerations

We strongly recommend conducting your own tests, as performance may vary depending on the materials used and manufacturing conditions. Fragrance oils may not smell the same in their raw form as they do in a finished product. The recommended ratios serve as a general guide and should never replace your own testing. Ensuring compatibility and safe usage of your final product is your sole responsibility.

Prior to incorporating our fragrances in your products always test a small batch to ensure compatibility with the other ingredients in your formulation. We strongly recommend purchasing a test bottle (10g) prior to committing to a larger volume. We cannot take responsibility for large orders made without prior testing.

Order processing times

Standard lead time is 1-3 business days. Processing times may be longer during peak holiday seasons—please plan accordingly.

Bulk orders

For larger quantities, we offer bulk production starting from 5kg per fragrance code, with a 10% discount per kilogram. Customers who need more than 5kgs per scent, can contact us to arrange a proforma invoice. Bulk orders are produced in multipliers of 5 (5kg, 10kg, 15kg, etc.) and lead times vary depending on fragrance and time of the year, usually within the range of 3 to 8 weeks.
