Discoloration Potential: Heavy
Citrus Spritz Fragrance Oil contains a substantial concentration of oxidation-prone citrus terpenes like d-Limonene and various aldehydic materials. Citrus terpenes readily oxidize and darken over time, while aldehydic materials such as alpha-Hexylcinnamaldehyde and Canthoxal contribute further to yellowing and ambering.
- Discoloration toward yellow, amber, or orange-brown tones is very likely over time.
- Particularly susceptible to oxidation due to its high citrus terpene content.
- Not recommended for white, pastel, or transparent bases where visual clarity is critical.
- Well suited for citrus, summer, cocktail-inspired, or naturally colored products where some color deepening is acceptable.
Application Compatibility
This fragrance is oil-soluble and designed for use in oil-based and alcohol-based formulations. It does not mix directly with water-based systems without the use of an appropriate solubilizer.
