Please note
This is not a perfume. It is a highly concentrated perfume oil designed for crafting end products such as candles, diffusers, perfumes, soaps, and other personal care items. Do not apply directly to the skin. All our fragrance oils are measured in grams, not milliliters. Bottle fill levels may vary due to differences in oil density, which affects volume.
This material is supplied as a raw ingredient. Full compositional and allergen information is provided in the SDS and Allergen Declaration documents found in the “Related Documents” tab. Compliance of the final product remains the responsibility of the manufacturer.

- Diffusers: 26.00%

Discoloration potential: Heavy
Evening Star Perfume Oil includes several known discoloration culprits such as Coumarin, Ethyl Vanillin, Patchouli Oil, Gurjun Oil, and Citral, all of which are prone to oxidation and color shift. The combination of balsamic, floral aldehydes and reactive terpene-like materials increases the likelihood of significant ambering or browning over time.
- Discoloration toward deep amber or brown is highly likely, especially in soaps and white waxes.
- Well suited for warm-toned or darker-colored products.
- Not recommended for crystal-clear, pastel, or pure white formulations.
Application Compatibility
This fragrance is oil-soluble and designed for use in oil-based and alcohol-based formulations. It does not mix directly with water-based systems without the use of an appropriate solubilizer.
Storage
Store in a cool, dark, and airtight environment to preserve stability and minimize oxidation over time.
Usage & Performance
Fragrance performance varies depending on the base, formulation, and production conditions. Cold throw, hot throw, diffusion strength, and longevity are influenced by the materials used and the manufacturing process.
A typical development process involves:
- Initial scent evaluation (10g sample)
- Small batch testing (e.g. 50g scale)
- Full-scale production once performance is validated
Testing under your specific conditions is standard practice in product development. Evaluation at each stage is required prior to scaling.
Recommended usage guidelines
- Candles: 7%-12%
- Reed diffusers: 15%-25%
- Personal perfumes: 10%-15%
- Soaps: 1%-3%
These ranges reflect typical formulation practices and are provided for general guidance only. They do not represent maximum permitted levels.
