Forest Soil and Fir Fragrance Oil
Forest Soil and Fir Fragrance Oil is a dark earthy/green mixture of all the enticing aromas of a misty mountain forest. A coniferous breeze of pine and fern at the top notes makes for an ozonic and highly energizing first impression before immersing into a hazy, almost wet middle accord of birch tar, oakmoss and fir, while a mystical earthy base of cedarwood and frankincense balances the blend with its grounding properties.
Scent profile: Woody/Smoky/Green
Please note
This is not a perfume. It is a highly concentrated fragrance oil designed for crafting end products such as candles, diffusers, perfumes, soaps, and other personal care items. Do not apply directly to the skin.
All our fragrance oils are measured in grams, not milliliters. Bottle fill levels may vary due to differences in oil density, which affects volume.
Recommended usage guidelines
Candles: 7%-12%
Reed diffusers: 20%-30%
Personal perfumes: 10%-15%
Soaps: 1%-3%
For specific usage limits, please refer to the Forest Soil and Fir Fragrance Oil IFRA file included in the “Related Documents” tab.
*Discoloration potential: Moderate
The formula contains a high load of oxidation-sensitive terpenes, aldehydes, and phenolics, meaning visible yellowing to brownish tones could develop over time, especially with light, heat, or air exposure. Benzyl benzoate offers some protection, but not enough to neutralize the risk completely.
- Noticeable yellowing and possibly light brownish tint could occur over storage time.
- Cold process soaps may show stronger darkening (especially from cinnamic structures).
- Candles and diffusers might yellow gently but should not darken dramatically if well stored.
Important considerations
We strongly recommend conducting your own tests, as performance may vary depending on the materials used and manufacturing conditions.
Fragrance oils may not smell the same in their raw form as they do in a finished product.
The recommended ratios serve as a general guide and should never replace your own testing. Ensuring compatibility and safe usage of your final product is your sole responsibility.
Regulatory compliance
All SDS and CLP certifications are prepared by a professional CLP labeling company, reviewed annually for accuracy. Always handle fragrances in accordance with these documents and check for the latest version when reordering.
EU Regulation on UFI Declaration
As of January 1, 2025, EU regulations require the inclusion of the fragrance Unique Formula Identifier (UFI) on the labeling of all scented products sold within the EU. Rest assured, all of our fragrance oils come with an SDS (Safety Data Sheet) file that includes this UFI number.
Testing for Compatibility
Prior to incorporating our fragrances in your products always test a small batch to ensure compatibility with the other ingredients in your formulation. We strongly recommend purchasing a test bottle (10g) prior to committing to a larger volume. We cannot take responsibility for large orders made without prior testing.
Scent Perception Disclaimer
While we do our best to accurately describe each fragrance, please note that scent perceptions are subjective and can differ. We cannot be held responsible for any misconceptions regarding the scent description. Always ensure you’re satisfied with the fragrance in a smaller test order before committing to larger volumes.
Order processing times
