Jamaican Rum Fragrance Oil
Jamaican Rum Fragrance Oil is an earthy/sweet combination of caramel, berries and spices, almost intoxicating and irresistible as a scent. The fragrance opens with a spice kick of clove, anise, and white pepper, followed immediately by a rich dark fruit mix of blackberries, raspberries and tobacco, before resting on a warm base of caramel and vanilla.
Scent Profile: Sweet/Spicy
Please note
This is not a perfume. It is a highly concentrated fragrance oil designed for crafting end products such as candles, diffusers, perfumes, soaps, and other personal care items. Do not apply directly to the skin.
All our fragrance oils are measured in grams, not milliliters. Bottle fill levels may vary due to differences in oil density, which affects volume.
Recommended usage guidelines
Candles: 7%-12%
Reed diffusers: 20%-30%
Personal perfumes: 10%-15%
Soaps: 1%-3%
For specific usage limits, please refer to the Jamaican Rum Fragrance Oil IFRA file included in the “Related Documents” tab.
*Discoloration potential: Light
The presence of multiple aromatic aldehydes and sweet lactones means yellowing is likely over time, especially in light-colored bases. However, no dominant vanillin or heavy resins push it to a higher risk tier.
- Expect gradual yellowing or soft ambering in soap, wax, or transparent applications over time.
- Works well in rustic, golden, or spiced designs where slight deepening enhances the mood.
- Caution in pure white or crystal-clear applications if color fidelity is critical.
- Store in airtight, dark, cool conditions to help preserve the original tone.
Important considerations
We strongly recommend conducting your own tests, as performance may vary depending on the materials used and manufacturing conditions.
Fragrance oils may not smell the same in their raw form as they do in a finished product.
The recommended ratios serve as a general guide and should never replace your own testing. Ensuring compatibility and safe usage of your final product is your sole responsibility.
Regulatory compliance
All SDS and CLP certifications are prepared by a professional CLP labeling company, reviewed annually for accuracy. Always handle fragrances in accordance with these documents and check for the latest version when reordering.
EU Regulation on UFI Declaration
As of January 1, 2025, EU regulations require the inclusion of the fragrance Unique Formula Identifier (UFI) on the labeling of all scented products sold within the EU. Rest assured, all of our fragrance oils come with an SDS (Safety Data Sheet) file that includes this UFI number.
Testing for Compatibility
Prior to incorporating our fragrances in your products always test a small batch to ensure compatibility with the other ingredients in your formulation. We strongly recommend purchasing a test bottle (10g) prior to committing to a larger volume. We cannot take responsibility for large orders made without prior testing.
Scent Perception Disclaimer
While we do our best to accurately describe each fragrance, please note that scent perceptions are subjective and can differ. We cannot be held responsible for any misconceptions regarding the scent description. Always ensure you’re satisfied with the fragrance in a smaller test order before committing to larger volumes.
Order processing times
Standard lead time is 1-3 business days. Processing times may be longer during peak holiday seasons—please plan accordingly.

I have 2 other rum scents from different brands, but this one is probably the closest to añejo rum. I love it! It’s quite a manly scent, and I think it will be a good tie-in for the blends I’m making. Thank you!
