Tobacco and Vanilla Fragrance Oil
Tobacco and Vanilla Fragrance Oil is a smooth musky/gourmand blend that invites you to calm your senses and take your time! A spicy accord of ginger, clove, and black pepper create an invigorating opening, while heart notes of rich tobacco, caramel, and jasmine add an indulgent, almost honey-like touch. The base of creamy vanilla, tonka bean, and peru balsam grounds the scent with a musky, comforting finish that lingers beautifully.

Please note
This is not a perfume. It is a highly concentrated fragrance oil designed for crafting end products such as candles, diffusers, perfumes, soaps, and other personal care items. Do not apply directly to the skin. All our fragrance oils are measured in grams, not milliliters. Bottle fill levels may vary due to differences in oil density, which affects volume.
Recommended usage guidelines
- Candles: 7%-12%
- Reed diffusers: 15%-25%
- Personal perfumes: 10%-15%
- Soaps: 1%-3%
These percentages are indicative. For specific usage limits, please refer to the Tobacco and Vanilla Fragrance Oil IFRA file included in the “Related Documents” tab.
*Discoloration potential: Moderate
High concentrations of vanillin, ethyl vanillin, and coumarin, plus aromatic aldehydes and balsamic resins. Initial color is already dark brown. Strong visual impact in white/clear applications.
- Expect visible and progressive darkening in almost all formulations — particularly in soaps, wax, and unpigmented cosmetics.
- Ideal for amber, brown, or rustic designs where the deep tone aligns with the scent story.
- Not recommended for white, pastel, or transparent products unless discoloration is embraced or masked.
- Store sealed, cool, and dark to minimize further visual darkening, though visible discoloration is largely unavoidable.
Important considerations
We strongly recommend conducting your own tests, as performance may vary depending on the materials used and manufacturing conditions.
Fragrance oils may not smell the same in their raw form as they do in a finished product.
The recommended ratios serve as a general guide and should never replace your own testing. Ensuring compatibility and safe usage of your final product is your sole responsibility.
Regulatory compliance
All SDS and CLP certifications are prepared by a professional CLP labeling company, reviewed annually for accuracy. Always handle fragrances in accordance with these documents and check for the latest version when reordering.
EU Regulation on UFI Declaration
As of January 1, 2025, EU regulations require the inclusion of the fragrance Unique Formula Identifier (UFI) on the labeling of all scented products sold within the EU. Rest assured, all of our fragrance oils come with an SDS (Safety Data Sheet) file that includes this UFI number.
Testing for Compatibility
Prior to incorporating our fragrances in your products always test a small batch to ensure compatibility with the other ingredients in your formulation. We strongly recommend purchasing a test bottle (10g) prior to committing to a larger volume. We cannot take responsibility for large orders made without prior testing.
Scent Perception Disclaimer
While we do our best to accurately describe each fragrance, please note that scent perceptions are subjective and can differ. We cannot be held responsible for any misconceptions regarding the scent description. Always ensure you’re satisfied with the fragrance in a smaller test order before committing to larger volumes.
Order processing times
Standard lead time is 1-3 business days. Processing times may be longer during peak holiday seasons—please plan accordingly.

Out of the bottle it smells like a shampoo but in wax it is more sweet.

The fragrance is softer than I expected, but it works for what I intend to use it for. I’d have preferred a stronger tobacco scent – more tobacco than vanilla.

Very Nice, but more tabacco would be better

Good deep scent that’s suitable for candles. A bit wintery, but still nice for autumn. Great cold and hot scent throw.
