Vanilla Musk Fragrance Oil
Vanilla Musk Fragrance Oil is a captivating floriental blend in which Madagascan vanilla orchid unites perfectly with warm Brazilian tonka to create an utterly sublime gourmand experience. On the top notes the creamy orchid is supported by soft jasmine petals and at the heart we have brown sugar accentuating the balsamic output of tonka beans. A plush musky base acts like a feathery cushion offering a luxurious silky finish.

Please note
This is not a perfume. It is a highly concentrated fragrance oil designed for crafting end products such as candles, diffusers, perfumes, soaps, and other personal care items. Do not apply directly to the skin. All our fragrance oils are measured in grams, not milliliters. Bottle fill levels may vary due to differences in oil density, which affects volume.
This material is supplied as a raw ingredient. Full compositional and allergen information is provided in the SDS and Allergen Declaration documents found in the “Related Documents” tab. Compliance of the final product remains the responsibility of the manufacturer.

Behavioral Profile
- Diffusion: Moderate to strong, led by Vanillin, Ethyl Vanillin, Galaxolide, and Iso E Super.
- Texture: Creamy, sweet, powdery, and musky.
- Opening Impression: Vanilla orchid with soft floral-aromatic lift.
- Structure: Vanilla-gourmand core over musk, tonka, and light amberwood.
- Character: Soft, sweet, plush, and comforting.
Vanilla Musk Fragrance Oil is built around a concentrated vanilla-musk structure where Vanillin, Ethyl Vanillin, Galaxolide, Ethyl Maltol, Maltol, and Coumarin create the main gourmand body. Iso E Super gives the base a soft woody-amber lift, while the minor floral-aromatic materials add polish around the vanilla orchid impression. The result is a plush vanilla musk with creamy gourmand sweetness, powdery tonka warmth, and a soft clean musky drydown.

*Discoloration potential: Heavy
Vanilla Musk Fragrance Oil contains high concentrations of vanillin, ethyl vanillin, and ethyl maltol, which combined with coumarin, ensure pronounced yellowing to browning over time, especially in pale or transparent applications.
- Expect visible ambering or browning, particularly in white soap, wax, or clear cosmetic bases.
- Best suited for creamy, warm-toned, or musky product designs where deeper coloration is acceptable or even desirable.
- Should be avoided in applications where color clarity or purity is critical without strong stabilization measures.
- Store tightly sealed in a cool, dark space to prolong visual freshness — but discoloration is largely inevitable due to the formula’s composition.
Application Compatibility
This fragrance is oil-soluble and designed for use in oil-based and alcohol-based formulations. It does not mix directly with water-based systems without the use of an appropriate solubilizer.
Storage
Store in a cool, dark, and airtight environment to preserve stability and minimize oxidation over time.
Usage & Performance
Fragrance performance varies depending on the base, formulation, and production conditions. Cold throw, hot throw, diffusion strength, and longevity are influenced by the materials used and the manufacturing process.
A typical development process involves:
- Initial scent evaluation (10g sample)
- Small batch testing (e.g. 50g scale)
- Full-scale production once performance is validated
Testing under your specific conditions is standard practice in product development. Evaluation at each stage is required prior to scaling.
Recommended usage guidelines
- Candles: 7%-12%
- Reed diffusers: 15%-25%
- Personal perfumes: 10%-15%

How to Read the Suitability Statements
✓ Suitable: the permitted concentration reaches or exceeds the average typical-use range. △ Limited: the permitted concentration falls within the typical-use range but remains below its midpoint. × Below Range: the permitted concentration falls below the typical-use range. × Not Permitted: the applicable limit is 0%.
Please Note
Typical-use ranges are general formulation benchmarks, not product-specific recommendations. Suitability is determined by comparing the stated typical-use range with the maximum permitted concentration shown in the current supplier IFRA document.
This guide does not confirm scent performance, base compatibility, stability, device compatibility or complete finished-product compliance. Appropriate testing and all applicable safety, labelling and regulatory requirements remain the responsibility of the finished-product manufacturer.
*Electric diffusers: Up to 100% fragrance may be used only in equipment designed for undiluted fragrance oil. Dilution, carrier and compatibility requirements vary by device. Always follow the equipment manufacturer’s instructions.
