White birch scent

A fine white birch scent with breezy oakmoss

Don't let the minimal imagery fool you. This is a complex beast. Birchwood plays an iportant role in this fragrance and along with the mossy base we have an almost base-note dominat scent. The particular white birch scent is also known as "Russian Leather" and it is derived from the bark of the tree giving off a very intriguing aroma which lingers between resinous woodiness and leathery muskiness. One whiff and it's leather, another whiff and it's wood! Depends on the mood I guess... Apart from the white birch scent we have a host of interesting spices, okoume, saffron and oakmoss of course, which all contribute in their own special way to the overall breezy/foresty character of the fragrance. Yes, it is a masculine fragrance no doubt. And a damn good one!
Sea Salt and Sage Fragrance Oil

Sea Salt and Sage: A breezy delight for candles and soaps

Welcome to our "Smells like..." series where we talk a little bit outside of the box about our scents. Stay tuned because it's gonna be one loooong ride. 🎢 Starting off with what it looks like a dupe of an English brand best seller. Yeah, but no, but lets say that Sea Salt and Sage is ahem... "inspired" a lot by it particularly in the top and middle notes where you can whiff off a superbly crafted chypre of lime flower and bergamot. The heart is not that sagy-sage green, but retains that fougere greeness to marginaly pass as "herbaceous" minus the mintyness (did that make sense?). A typical chypre must have labdanum but here's the twist. The base is ambery (labdanum/styrax/vanilla) and mossy bringing two major perfuming accords (chypre and amber) into unison. This provides the amazing breezy swoosh to the composition (with the help of seaweed notes in the middle) while at the same time retaining the ohlala smoothness of amber. Have you tried our Sea Salt and Sage fragrance oil? You are always welcome to post a review on your experience!
