Eucalyptus Essential Oil
Eucalyptus Essential Oil has a fresh, cool, and intensely aromatic scent with a clean camphoraceous character. Known for its clarifying and invigorating profile, it’s ideal for diffusers, candles, soaps, bath products, and personal care formulations where a crisp, breathable, spa-like freshness is desired. This oil brings clarity, energy, and a bright botanical lift to blends, especially when paired with mint, rosemary, lavender, pine, citrus oils, or other fresh aromatic materials.
Ambiance: Fresh / Cool / Clean / Invigorating
Please note
This is a pure, undiluted essential oil designed for crafting end products such as candles, diffusers, soaps, bath products, and other personal care items. Essential oils are highly concentrated and should not be applied directly to the skin without proper dilution in a carrier oil. All our essential oils are measured in grams, not milliliters. Bottle fill levels may vary due to differences in oil density, which affects volume.
For specific usage limits, please refer to the Eucalyptus Essential Oil IFRA guidelines or consult the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) included in the “Related Documents” tab. Compliance of the final product remains the responsibility of the manufacturer.

Olfactive Profile
- Note classification: Top to middle note
- Scent family: Fresh / Camphoraceous / Herbal / Aromatic
Eucalyptus Essential Oil has a penetrating fresh-aromatic profile with cool, camphoraceous, herbal, and slightly woody facets. It feels sharper and more medicinal than lavender, cleaner and more airy than rosemary, and cooler than most citrus oils. Its character is bold, refreshing, and immediately recognisable, making it especially useful in spa, wellness, herbal, cleansing, and fresh-air compositions.
The opening is crisp, cool, and strongly aromatic, while the drydown becomes softer, greener, and lightly woody. Compared to softer herbal oils, eucalyptus brings more clarity, lift, and functional freshness, making it valuable when a formula needs a clean botanical opening, a breathable spa effect, or a stronger sense of freshness and air.

Formulation & Creative Uses
Eucalyptus Essential Oil works as a fresh camphoraceous top-to-middle note. It adds clarity, lift, coolness, and a clean aromatic effect to a formula, helping dense, sweet, woody, herbal, or resinous compositions feel more open and breathable. It is especially useful when a blend needs a strong spa-like freshness, a crisp botanical identity, or a sharper functional character.
Common applications
- Diffusers: Excellent for fresh, clean, spa-like, herbal, breathing-space, and energizing blends.
- Candles & wax melts: Adds cool aromatic freshness, especially in spa, herbal, clean home, forest, eucalyptus-mint, and wellness-inspired compositions.
- Soaps: Brings a crisp, clean, fresh-herbal character, with testing required for scent retention and process stability.
- Bath & body products: Suitable when used within IFRA limits and proper dilution guidelines.
- Perfumery: Useful in aromatic accords, green colognes, fresh herbal structures, fougère-style blends, spa perfumes, woody-aromatic compositions, and clean functional freshness effects.
Creative directions
Use Eucalyptus Essential Oil when a formula needs cool freshness, clarity, and a more open aromatic structure. It works especially well in blends that feel too heavy, sweet, warm, flat, or enclosed, helping the composition become cleaner, brighter, and more breathable.
For spa and wellness blends, combine eucalyptus with lavender, peppermint, rosemary, tea tree, pine, or cedarwood to create a crisp, refreshing atmosphere. For clean home fragrance directions, use it with lemon, lime, spearmint, basil, clary sage, or soft woods to build a fresh botanical effect. For forest or outdoor compositions, pair it with fir, pine, cedarwood, patchouli, vetiver, and green notes to create a cool woodland impression.
Eucalyptus is also useful in herbal, minty, clean linen, green aromatic, and functional freshness blends. Because it is strong, camphoraceous, and highly recognisable, it can dominate a formula if overdosed. It performs best when balanced with softer herbs, citrus oils, woods, musks, or gentle floral materials that round out its sharp cooling character.
Storage & Natural Variations
Eucalyptus Essential Oil is classified as flammable, irritating to the skin, sensitising, hazardous if swallowed and enters the airways, and toxic to aquatic life with long lasting effects. Always follow the IFRA guidance and SDS for the intended product category. The final safety assessment, dilution level, labeling, and regulatory compliance remain the responsibility of the manufacturer.
Essential oils are natural aromatic materials, and slight variations in scent, colour, density, and appearance may occur from batch to batch. These differences are normal and can be influenced by harvest conditions, climate, origin, plant material, and natural compositional variation.
Scent perception may also vary depending on individual sensitivity, dilution level, formulation base, and application method. Essential oils may not smell exactly the same in the bottle as they do in a finished product. We strongly recommend testing a 10g bottle before committing to larger quantities, especially for commercial production.
To preserve quality, store tightly sealed in the original container, away from heat, light, air, and moisture. Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated place, keep away from ignition sources, and avoid release into drains, surface water, or the environment.
