Gelato al Pistacchio Fragrance Oil
Gelato al Pistacchio Fragrance Oil is an indulgent nutty/gourmand blend built around the distinct pistachio and almond notes. A sparkling touch of bergamot lifts the opening before juicy raspberry, whipped cream, and a tiny hint of rose round up the heart of the composition. Creamy tonka melts into sugary cotton candy and smooth sandalwood, creating a lovely confectionery base enhancing the irresistible character of freshly churned pistachio gelato.
- Top notes: Bergamot, pistachio, almond
- Heart notes: Vanilla cream, raspberry, rose
- Base notes: Cotton candy, tonka, sandalwood
Scent Profile: Gourmand/Nutty/Fresh
Please note
This is not a perfume. It is a highly concentrated fragrance oil designed for crafting end products such as candles, diffusers, perfumes, soaps, and other personal care items. Do not apply directly to the skin. All our fragrance oils are measured in grams, not milliliters. Bottle fill levels may vary due to differences in oil density, which affects volume.
This material is supplied as a raw ingredient. Full compositional and allergen information is provided in the SDS and Allergen Declaration documents found in the “Related Documents” tab. Compliance of the final product remains the responsibility of the manufacturer.

Discoloration Potential: Heavy
Gelato al Pistacchio Fragrance Oil is a particularly strong gourmand discoloration system. Vanillin is present at 6.5%, Ethyl Maltol at >2.5–≤10%, Coumarin at 3.5%, and Ethyl Vanillin at up to 2.5%, reinforced by anisaldehyde and benzaldehyde. Multiple classical browning mechanisms are therefore operating simultaneously. Lemon oil and other oxidation-prone materials add secondary colour-development potential. Although the concentrate is currently described as colourless to pale yellow/yellow, its chemistry indicates substantial progressive darkening potential.
- Discoloration toward deep amber or brown is highly likely over time.
- Best suited for gourmand, warm, naturally tinted or appropriately coloured creations where browning complements the aesthetic.
- Not recommended for white, pastel or transparent bases where colour stability is critical.
Application Compatibility
This fragrance is oil-soluble and designed for use in oil-based and alcohol-based formulations. It does not mix directly with water-based systems without the use of an appropriate solubilizer.
Storage
Store in a cool, dark, and airtight environment to slow oxidation and color shift.
Usage & Performance
Fragrance performance varies depending on the base, formulation, and production conditions. Cold throw, hot throw, diffusion strength, and longevity are influenced by the materials used and the manufacturing process.
A typical development process involves:
- Initial scent evaluation (10g sample)
- Small batch testing (e.g. 50g scale)
- Full-scale production once performance is validated
Testing under your specific conditions is standard practice in product development. Evaluation at each stage is required prior to scaling.

How to Read the Suitability Statements
✓ Suitable: the permitted concentration reaches or exceeds the average typical-use range. △ Limited: the permitted concentration falls within the typical-use range but remains below its midpoint. × Below Range: the permitted concentration falls below the typical-use range. × Not Permitted: the applicable limit is 0%.
Please Note
Typical-use ranges are general formulation benchmarks, not product-specific recommendations. Suitability is determined by comparing the stated typical-use range with the maximum permitted concentration shown in the current supplier IFRA document.
This guide does not confirm scent performance, base compatibility, stability, device compatibility or complete finished-product compliance. Appropriate testing and all applicable safety, labelling and regulatory requirements remain the responsibility of the finished-product manufacturer.
*Electric diffusers: Up to 100% fragrance may be used only in equipment designed for undiluted fragrance oil. Dilution, carrier and compatibility requirements vary by device. Always follow the equipment manufacturer’s instructions.
