Fresh Molecule

Fresh molecules are aroma chemicals that bring clean, airy and invigorating effects to a fragrance. Depending on the material, they may smell ozonic, aquatic, citrusy, green, cooling or reminiscent of fresh linen and open air. Perfumers use fresh molecules to add lift, diffusion and brightness to citrus, marine, aromatic and modern clean accords. They can refresh heavy compositions and extend freshness beyond the opening. Careful dosing is important, as some can become sharp, metallic or detergent-like when overused.
