- Base notes: Cedrus libani, oakmoss
Scent Profile: Woody/Aromatic
Please note
This is not a perfume. It is a highly concentrated fragrance oil designed for crafting end products such as candles, diffusers, perfumes, soaps, and other personal care items. Do not apply directly to the skin. All our fragrance oils are measured in grams, not milliliters. Bottle fill levels may vary due to differences in oil density, which affects volume.
This material is supplied as a raw ingredient. Full compositional and allergen information is provided in the SDS and Allergen Declaration documents found in the “Related Documents” tab. Compliance of the final product remains the responsibility of the manufacturer.
Packaging note: 10g testers are supplied in PET bottles for affordable evaluation and are not intended for long-term archival storage. Production sizes from 50g upwards are supplied in premium aluminium bottles for improved long-term protection. Read more
Behavioral Profile
- Diffusion: Medium–high, fresh and expansive
- Texture: Crisp coniferous woods with dry mossy warmth
- Opening Impression: Pine needles, cool cedar air, and aromatic forest herbs
- Structure: Bright green aromatic top descending into dry woody mosses
- Character: Revitalizing, sophisticated and deeply atmospheric
Cedar Forest Fragrance Oil recreates the atmosphere of a cool cedar woodland through a highly terpene-driven woody structure rich in Alpha-Pinene, cedar fractions, mossy materials, and aromatic woods. Fresh coniferous notes, cumin, water lily, and fir create a vivid forest-air effect, while Cedrus Atlantica, Cedrus Libani, oakmoss, and dry woody musks deepen the composition into an elegant outdoorsy drydown. Methylionone and Coumarin smooth the sharper green edges and keep the fragrance refined rather than aggressively pine-heavy. The result is a sophisticated woody aromatic with excellent freshness, dry forest realism, and a distinctly upscale woodland character.

Discoloration Potential: Light
Although some oxidation-prone aldehydes and terpenes are present in Cedar Forest Fragrance Oil, the bulk of the fragrance is composed of very stable woody and fixative ingredients, leading to only slow, minor yellowing over time.
- Slow yellowing or mild deepening in tone can occur during storage, but dramatic darkening is unlikely.
- Well suited for slightly warm-toned product designs (like beige, tan, or greenish bases) where gradual color evolution complements the natural theme.
- Recommend storage in airtight, dark, cool conditions to maximize visual freshness.
Application Compatibility
This fragrance is oil-soluble and designed for use in oil-based and alcohol-based formulations. It does not mix directly with water-based systems without the use of an appropriate solubilizer.
Storage
Store in a cool, dark, and airtight environment to preserve stability and minimize oxidation over time.
Usage & Performance
Fragrance performance varies depending on the base, formulation, and production conditions. Cold throw, hot throw, diffusion strength, and longevity are influenced by the materials used and the manufacturing process.
A typical development process involves:
- Initial scent evaluation (10g sample)
- Small batch testing (e.g. 50g scale)
- Full-scale production once performance is validated
Testing under your specific conditions is standard practice in product development. Evaluation at each stage is required prior to scaling.
Recommended usage guidelines
- Candles: 7%-12%
- Reed diffusers: 15%-25%
- Personal perfumes: 10%-15%
- Soaps: 1%-3%
These ranges reflect typical formulation practices and are provided for general guidance only. They do not represent maximum permitted levels.
