Pure Lilac Fragrance Oil
Pure Lilac Fragrance Oil is a fresh, green-floral blend that greets you right from the start with the typical mesmerising aroma of lilac blossoms. On the heart notes you will find a subtle marine accord of rose, heliotrope and lilac again, while a powdery base of white musk and patchouli complete a composition that exudes joy and springtime bliss!
- Top notes: Aldehydes
- Heart notes: Rose, lilac, heliotrope
- Base notes: Patchouli, musk
Scent Profile: Floral/Marine/Green
Please note
This is not a perfume. It is a highly concentrated fragrance oil designed for crafting end products such as candles, diffusers, perfumes, soaps, and other personal care items. Do not apply directly to the skin. All our fragrance oils are measured in grams, not milliliters. Bottle fill levels may vary due to differences in oil density, which affects volume.
This material is supplied as a raw ingredient. Full compositional and allergen information is provided in the SDS and Allergen Declaration documents found in the “Related Documents” tab. Compliance of the final product remains the responsibility of the manufacturer.
Behavioral Profile
- Diffusion: Medium–high, airy and expressive
- Texture: Fresh, slightly waxy with a clean floral clarity
- Opening Impression: Bright aldehydic-green lift with immediate floral realism
- Structure: Balanced with a defined floral core and lifted top
- Character: Luminous, natural, and slightly crisp with a clean, spring-like trail
Pure Lilac Fragrance Oil is a structurally classical floral reconstruction built on a phenethyl alcohol–benzyl acetate backbone, supported by hydroxycitronellal-type materials that define its muguet-like diffusion. The “lilac effect” is not derived from a single dominant molecule but from the interplay between rosy alcohols, green aldehydic freshness, and soft anisic-powdery modifiers such as heliotropin. This creates a realistic floral impression with both lift and body. The relatively moderate carrier phase allows the composition to remain expressive while maintaining smooth transitions. The result is a technically accurate recreation of lilac scent with a clean, controlled, and naturally evolving profile.

Discoloration Potential: None
Pure Lilac Fragrance Oil contains stable carriers and minimal oxidative load; any discoloration would be extremely minor, very slow, and mostly theoretical under good storage.
- Color stability is excellent, with only the slightest possibility of gentle yellow deepening over very long periods.
- In candles, soaps, and diffusers, the visual appearance will be preserved beautifully under normal handling and storage.
- Cool, dry, and sealed storage will virtually guarantee color clarity for a long time.
Application Compatibility
This fragrance is oil-soluble and designed for use in oil-based and alcohol-based formulations. It does not mix directly with water-based systems without the use of an appropriate solubilizer.
Storage
Store in a cool, dark, and airtight environment to preserve stability and minimize oxidation over time.
Usage & Performance
Fragrance performance varies depending on the base, formulation, and production conditions. Cold throw, hot throw, diffusion strength, and longevity are influenced by the materials used and the manufacturing process.
A typical development process involves:
- Initial scent evaluation (10g sample)
- Small batch testing (e.g. 50g scale)
- Full-scale production once performance is validated
Testing under your specific conditions is standard practice in product development. Evaluation at each stage is required prior to scaling.
Recommended usage guidelines
- Candles: 7%-12%
- Reed diffusers: 15%-25%
- Personal perfumes: 10%-15%
- Soaps: 1%-3%
These ranges reflect typical formulation practices and are provided for general guidance only. They do not represent maximum permitted levels.
