Please note
This is not a perfume. It is a highly concentrated fragrance oil designed for crafting end products such as candles, diffusers, perfumes, soaps, and other personal care items. Do not apply directly to the skin. All our fragrance oils are measured in grams, not milliliters. Bottle fill levels may vary due to differences in oil density, which affects volume.
This material is supplied as a raw ingredient. Full compositional and allergen information is provided in the SDS and Allergen Declaration documents found in the “Related Documents” tab. Compliance of the final product remains the responsibility of the manufacturer.

Discoloration potential: Moderate
White Tea and Sage Fragrance Oil contains a high level of alpha-Hexylcinnamaldehyde (>25–50%), an aromatic aldehyde known to slowly yellow or amber over time. Additional contributors such as benzyl benzoate, beta-ionone, and several citrus essential oils can oxidize and gradually deepen color. While the formula lacks strong browning agents like vanillin or cinnamaldehyde, the aldehydic and citrus terpene content makes gradual yellowing likely, especially with light and air exposure.
- Light yellowing or pale ambering may appear over time, particularly in warm or light-exposed environments.
- Generally acceptable for light-colored bases, but pure white formulations may slowly shift toward a soft cream or pale yellow tone.
- Works well in natural or botanical-looking products where slight color evolution is not problematic.
Application Compatibility
This fragrance is oil-soluble and designed for use in oil-based and alcohol-based formulations. It does not mix directly with water-based systems without the use of an appropriate solubilizer.
Storage
Store in a cool, dark, and airtight environment to preserve stability and minimize oxidation over time.
Usage & Performance
Fragrance performance varies depending on the base, formulation, and production conditions. Cold throw, hot throw, diffusion strength, and longevity are influenced by the materials used and the manufacturing process.
A typical development process involves:
- Initial scent evaluation (10g sample)
- Small batch testing (e.g. 50g scale)
- Full-scale production once performance is validated
Testing under your specific conditions is standard practice in product development. Evaluation at each stage is required prior to scaling.
Recommended usage guidelines
- Candles: 7%-12%
- Reed diffusers: 15%-25%
- Personal perfumes: 10%-15%
- Soaps: 1%-3%
