Discoloration Potential: Light
Lime Basil and Mandarine Fragrance Oil contains a combination of cinnamaldehyde, citral, benzyl salicylate, alpha-hexylcinnamaldehyde, and multiple citrus essential oils (lime, lemon terpenes). These materials are highly oxidation-prone and well known for causing yellowing to deep amber discoloration. The presence of phenolic oils such as clove oil (eugenol) and additional aldehydes further increases the risk of color instability.
- Discoloration toward yellow, amber, or deeper orange tones is very likely over time.
- Particularly unstable in light-exposed or oxygen-rich environments due to citrus terpene oxidation.
- Not suitable for white, pastel, or transparent bases where color stability is critical.
- Best suited for colored or citrus-themed products where natural yellowing is acceptable.
Application Compatibility
This fragrance is oil-soluble and designed for use in oil-based and alcohol-based formulations. It does not mix directly with water-based systems without the use of an appropriate solubilizer.

Seems a bit more on the floral side than the citrus side, but quite balanced and green overall. I don’t sense the basil though nor the lime, but it’s quite a pleasant and peaceful sent. Not very strong.
