Floral Molecule

Floral molecules are aroma chemicals used to create, enhance or reshape floral notes within a fragrance. Depending on the material, they may smell jasmine-like, rosy, violet, muguet, creamy, powdery, green or transparent and diffusive. Perfumers use floral molecules to build realistic floral accords, add radiance and volume, soften harsh transitions or connect floral notes with citrus, fruity, woody and musky materials. Some provide a recognisable flower character, while others work more subtly by adding lift, texture or lasting power to the composition.
