Cabernet Sauvignon Fragrance Oil
Cabernet Sauvignon Fragrance Oil is a flavorful wine scent with intense notes of dark fruits and a velvety cream finish. A bold fruity accord of cherry, blackcurrant and blackberry with hints of peach makes its first impression, before immersing into a thick, almost jammy heart of ripe grapes, strawberry and neroli. A creamy base layer of spicy vanilla and dry musks smooths out the composition and balances the intense fruity tartness of the upper structure.
- Top notes: Blackcurrant, cherry, peach, blackberry
- Heart notes: Grape, strawberry, neroli
- Base notes: Clove, vanilla, musk
Scent Profile: Fruity/Sweet

Behavioral Profile
- Diffusion: Medium, dense and rounded
- Texture: Syrupy, slightly jammy with a smooth musky-vanillic finish
- Opening Impression: Bold, fruit-led with a slightly boozy-aldehydic edge
- Structure: Strongly base-supported with a high concentration of active materials
- Character: Deep, indulgent, and expressive with a rich, lingering trail
Cabernet Sauvignon Fragrance Oil is a base-supported fruity composition built around a highly concentrated aromatic structure that emphasizes depth and richness. The fruit character is driven by a combination of aldehydic and ester-based materials, creating a bold and slightly fermented impression reminiscent of dark berries and wine accords. A fixative-rich base provides body and persistence, while subtle floral elements ensure smooth transitions within the composition. The result is a dense and expressive fragrance with a rich fruity core and a refined, long-lasting finish.

For full category-specific limits, refer to the Cabernet Sauvignon Fragrance Oil IFRA certificate available in the “Related Documents” tab.
Discoloration potential: Light
Despite a very stable base, the presence of oxidation-sensitive aldehydes (especially Benzaldehyde) introduces a mild but real yellowing risk over time. However, the impact is moderated by the strong fixative system (Benzyl Benzoate).
- Slight yellowing may occur after several months, especially if exposed to light, air, or heat.
- Cold process soaps might show faster or more intense yellowing due to high-pH conditions.
- Candles and diffuser oils will likely remain visually acceptable for a long time but could gradually warm in color.
Application Compatibility
This fragrance is oil-soluble and designed for use in oil-based and alcohol-based formulations. It does not mix directly with water-based systems without the use of an appropriate solubilizer.
Storage
Store in a cool, dark, and airtight environment to preserve stability and minimize oxidation over time.
Usage & Performance
Fragrance performance varies depending on the base, formulation, and production conditions. Cold throw, hot throw, diffusion strength, and longevity are influenced by the materials used and the manufacturing process.
A typical development process involves:
- Initial scent evaluation (10g sample)
- Small batch testing (e.g. 50g scale)
- Full-scale production once performance is validated
Testing under your specific conditions is standard practice in product development. Evaluation at each stage is required prior to scaling.
Recommended usage guidelines
- Candles: 7%-12%
- Reed diffusers: 15%-25%
- Personal perfumes: 10%-15%
- Soaps: 1%-3%
These ranges reflect typical formulation practices and are provided for general guidance only. They do not represent maximum permitted levels.

How to Read the Suitability Statements
✓ Suitable: the permitted concentration reaches or exceeds the average typical-use range. △ Limited: the permitted concentration falls within the typical-use range but remains below its midpoint. × Below Range: the permitted concentration falls below the typical-use range. × Not Permitted: the applicable limit is 0%.
Please Note
Typical-use ranges are general formulation benchmarks, not product-specific recommendations. Suitability is determined by comparing the stated typical-use range with the maximum permitted concentration shown in the current supplier IFRA document.
This guide does not confirm scent performance, base compatibility, stability, device compatibility or complete finished-product compliance. Appropriate testing and all applicable safety, labelling and regulatory requirements remain the responsibility of the finished-product manufacturer.
*Electric diffusers: Up to 100% fragrance may be used only in equipment designed for undiluted fragrance oil. Dilution, carrier and compatibility requirements vary by device. Always follow the equipment manufacturer’s instructions.

It doesn’t exactly smell of wine per se, it reminds me more of the cherry lollipops I used to eat as a child. However, I think if we mix it with a different boozy fragrance and a dash of freshness, we may yet achieve a scent more akin to wine. Possibly this heavy sweetness is due to the superb concentration, but I don’t think it’s a problem; rather on the contrary, as we can always play around and dilute it to taste.

This fragrance delivers a bold and juicy cherry aroma from the very first sniff. It’s sweet, vibrant, and full of character, with that unmistakable burst of ripe cherries that feels both playful and comforting

A fairly bright, juicy, slightly tangy aroma or cherry

Very pleasant and unique scent. The combination of cherry and grape is sweet but not overwhelming — it has a fruity freshness with a slightly dessert-like character. The aroma quickly fills the room and creates a warm, cozy atmosphere. Perfect for an evening, relaxation, or as a lovely accent at home. I definitely recommend it.

Dolce e fruttata. Si sente davvero odore di vino. Super approvata
Melanie Cerncic –
Expected a more wine-like scent which smells after ripe grapes. The cherry part of the blend hits the nose very strong thou. Not a bad blend, especially since the combination of fruits and musk gives off a sweet, yet intense scent.
