Please note
This is not a perfume. It is a highly concentrated fragrance oil designed for crafting end products such as candles, diffusers, perfumes, soaps, and other personal care items. Do not apply directly to the skin. All our fragrance oils are measured in grams, not milliliters. Bottle fill levels may vary due to differences in oil density, which affects volume.
This material is supplied as a raw ingredient. Full compositional and allergen information is provided in the SDS and Allergen Declaration documents found in the “Related Documents” tab. Compliance of the final product remains the responsibility of the manufacturer.
Packaging note: 10g testers are supplied in PET bottles for affordable evaluation and are not intended for long-term archival storage. Production sizes from 50g upwards are supplied in premium aluminium bottles for improved long-term protection. Read more
Behavioral Profile
- Diffusion: Medium–high, deep and lingering
- Texture: Dry woody florals with balsamic warmth
- Opening Impression: Bright lemon over dark earthy woods
- Structure: Floral-spiced heart descending into creamy patchouli woods
- Character: Sensual, mysterious and refined
Patchouli Indonésien Fragrance Oil focuses on a darker and more elegant interpretation of patchouli, balanced with creamy woods and restrained florals. Fresh lemon lifts the opening briefly before earthy patchouli, sandalwood nuances, and warm clove facets begin to dominate the composition. Methyl Cedryl Ether and woody amber materials give the fragrance a smooth diffusive body, while floral materials such as Linalyl Acetate and Hexyl Salicylate soften the otherwise dry woody structure. The result is a sensual woody floriental with rich atmospheric depth, polished warmth, and a distinctly exotic patchouli signature.

Discoloration Potential: None
With a fixative-dominated base, low levels of oxidation-sensitive materials, and a starting point of colorless clarity, only the slightest yellowing over very long periods might occur, if any in Patchouli Indonésien Fragrance Oil.
- The fragrance is highly stable against visual changes, maintaining clarity or only developing a faint yellow tint over extended periods.
- Perfect for clear or pale applications where visual integrity over time is crucial (e.g., transparent bases, clear diffusers, or light-colored candles).
- Routine precautions like cool, dark storage and minimizing air exposure will keep it looking pristine even longer.
Application Compatibility
This fragrance is oil-soluble and designed for use in oil-based and alcohol-based formulations. It does not mix directly with water-based systems without the use of an appropriate solubilizer.
Storage
Store in a cool, dark, and airtight environment to preserve stability and minimize oxidation over time.
Usage & Performance
Fragrance performance varies depending on the base, formulation, and production conditions. Cold throw, hot throw, diffusion strength, and longevity are influenced by the materials used and the manufacturing process.
A typical development process involves:
- Initial scent evaluation (10g sample)
- Small batch testing (e.g. 50g scale)
- Full-scale production once performance is validated
Testing under your specific conditions is standard practice in product development. Evaluation at each stage is required prior to scaling.
Recommended usage guidelines
- Candles: 7%-12%
- Reed diffusers: 15%-25%
- Personal perfumes: 10%-15%
- Soaps: 1%-3%

One of the best fragrances

This is a very well-behaved patchouli, not at all an earthy or dark patchouli. To me, it is more like a floriental kind of fragrance.
