Rainfall Fragrance Oil
Rainfall Fragrance Oil is a premium ozonic blend that captures the cool, mineral clarity of rain falling on pavement. A raw aquatic accord opens the scent with salty freshness, lifted by soft fruity facets. Delicate florals emerge at the heart, where the prominent aldehydes bring a refined, almost metallic brightness reminiscent of fresh rain water. The base settles into gentle jasmine and earthy oakmoss, creating a clean, atmospheric finish that feels natural, modern, and quietly elegant.
- Top notes: Salt iodes, melon
- Heart notes: Aldehydes, rose
- Base notes: Jasmine, oakmoss
Scent Profile: Aquatic/Floral/Green
Please note
This is not a perfume. It is a highly concentrated fragrance oil designed for crafting end products such as candles, diffusers, perfumes, soaps, and other personal care items. Do not apply directly to the skin. All our fragrance oils are measured in grams, not milliliters. Bottle fill levels may vary due to differences in oil density, which affects volume.
This material is supplied as a raw ingredient. Full compositional and allergen information is provided in the SDS and Allergen Declaration documents found in the “Related Documents” tab. Compliance of the final product remains the responsibility of the manufacturer.
Behavioral Profile

- Opening Impression: Salty rainwater, cool pavement mist, and watery melon
- Structure: Sharp ozonic opening settling into soft floral-musky woods
- Character: Modern, atmospheric and quietly sophisticated
Rainfall Fragrance Oil recreates the cool mineral atmosphere of rainfall through a highly ozonic marine structure rich in aldehydes, citrus aromatics, watery florals, and clean musks. Salty aquatic notes, melon facets, rose, jasmine, and fresh aldehydic materials create a vivid rain-on-concrete impression supported by d-Limonene, Linalyl Acetate, Citronellol, Beta-Ionone, and soft marine musks, while subtle oakmoss and Guaiac wood nuances keep the fragrance grounded and atmospheric. The result is a refined aquatic fragrance with crisp airy diffusion, modern mineral freshness, and a distinctly rain-soaked urban character.

Discoloration Potential: Moderate
Rainfall fragrance oil contains several terpene-based and oxidation-sensitive materials, as well as trace aldehydes. These materials can slowly oxidize and slightly deepen color over time.
- Slight yellowing over time is possible.
- Usually acceptable for clear or lightly tinted bases if storage conditions are good.
- Long exposure to oxygen, light, or heat may gradually increase amber tones.
Application Compatibility
This fragrance is oil-soluble and designed for use in oil-based and alcohol-based formulations. It does not mix directly with water-based systems without the use of an appropriate solubilizer.
Storage
Store in a cool, dark, and airtight environment to preserve stability and minimize oxidation over time.
Usage & Performance
Fragrance performance varies depending on the base, formulation, and production conditions. Cold throw, hot throw, diffusion strength, and longevity are influenced by the materials used and the manufacturing process.
A typical development process involves:
- Initial scent evaluation (10g sample)
- Small batch testing (e.g. 50g scale)
- Full-scale production once performance is validated
Testing under your specific conditions is standard practice in product development. Evaluation at each stage is required prior to scaling.
Recommended usage guidelines
- Candles: 7%-12%
- Reed diffusers: 15%-25%
- Personal perfumes: 10%-15%
