Discoloration Potential: Moderate
Sand and Sunscreen Fragrance Oil contains several oxidation-prone materials including benzyl benzoate, benzyl acetate, alpha-Amylcinnamaldehyde, and alpha-Hexylcinnamaldehyde among several others. While it does not contain major browning agents the combination of aromatic aldehydes, citrus terpenes, woody fixatives, and essential oils can gradually oxidize, leading to noticeable yellowing over time.
- Mild to moderate yellowing or soft ambering may develop gradually over time.
- Well suited for beach, summer, tropical, or naturally tinted formulations where slight color evolution is acceptable.
- May not be ideal for bright white or crystal-clear bases requiring maximum color stability.
Application Compatibility
This fragrance is oil-soluble and designed for use in oil-based and alcohol-based formulations. It does not mix directly with water-based systems without the use of an appropriate solubilizer.
