The formula is strongly driven by Benzaldehyde, giving the fragrance its realistic almond blossom and marzipan-like signature, while juicy plum and fig nuances add depth and ripeness to the fruity core. Discoloration Potential: Heavy
The very high content of benzaldehyde, a reactive aromatic aldehyde prone to oxidation and polymerization, creates a strong risk of dramatic color change in Almond Blossom and Red Plum Fragrance Oil, especially into bright red or even darker tones over time.
- Significant color change is expected with time, especially under exposure to air, light, or heat.
- It may turn bright red during storage, which is a normal oxidation phenomenon mainly due to the benzaldehyde content. Customers should not be alarmed! While the color can become intense, it doesn’t mean the fragrance itself has gone bad.
- Best suited for dark-colored or opaque packaging, or for products where the visual aspect of the raw oil isn’t a concern.
Application Compatibility
This fragrance is oil-soluble and designed for use in oil-based and alcohol-based formulations. It does not mix directly with water-based systems without the use of an appropriate solubilizer.
Storage
Strongly recommend cool, dark, tightly sealed storage to slow the red-shift process.
