Ambroxan 10 IPM is a practical liquid dilution of one of perfumery’s most important ambergris-type materials. It gives a smooth woody-amber, mineral, musky, slightly salty and skin-like effect, but in a much easier format than neat crystals. The IPM carrier makes it easier to weigh, dose and blend, especially in perfume oils, roll-on trials, alcohol-free bases and modern amber-musk compositions. Even diluted, Ambroxan remains highly effective and should be used with structure and balance.

Instead, it gives a polished, dry, skin-like amber effect that can make a formula feel modern, expensive, and long-lasting. In small amounts, it adds elegance and depth; in larger amounts, it becomes a clear signature.

What It Does Not Do

- It does not replace a full amber accord: It gives the ambergris/woody-amber facet, but needs musks, woods, resins, florals or sweetness for a complete accord.
- It is not automatically suitable for every diffuser system: IPM compatibility should be tested in reeds, cold-air machines, sprays and other device-specific bases.

- Active material calculation: Because this product is supplied at 10% in IPM, using 10% Ambroxan 10% IPM in a fragrance concentrate contributes approximately 1% active Ambroxan and 9% IPM.
- Diffusion: Moderate to strong, depending on the formula and application.

For example, 10% Ambroxan 10% IPM contributes approximately 1% active Ambroxan. Final calculation remains the responsibility of the manufacturer.
Stability & Handling
Ambroxan 10 IPM should be stored tightly sealed in its original container, away from heat, light, humidity and prolonged air exposure. It is supplied as a ready-to-use liquid dilution, so no grinding, melting or pre-dilution is normally required before formulation. Because Ambroxan is naturally crystalline, slight crystal formation, cloudiness or sediment may occur after long storage or if the material has been kept in a cold environment. If this happens, place the closed bottle in a warm water bath for a few minutes and shake gently until the material returns to a uniform liquid. Do not use boiling water, direct heat, microwaves or open flame.
The IPM carrier improves handling and makes Ambroxan easier to weigh, dose and blend compared with neat crystals. It is especially useful for perfume oils, alcohol-free trials and soft amber-musk structures. Testing is recommended in alcohol, oil perfumes, reed bases, diffuser bases, sprays, waxes and cosmetic bases because IPM can affect clarity, viscosity, evaporation, diffusion and final product feel.
Safety & Testing
Ambroxan 10 IPM is a raw fragrance material dilution for formulation use. It is not a finished perfume, fragrance oil, cosmetic product or diffuser base, and must not be applied directly to the skin as supplied unless used within a properly assessed final formula.

Test the material in the intended base before production, as performance may vary depending on dosage, solvent system, wax type, diffuser base, surfactant system, processing temperature, solubility, and packaging.
